TPI EXPAND C
Plasticizers and shrinkage compensators
DESCRIBE
TPI EXPAND C It is a ready-to-use additive in powder form that causes the cement mixture to swell before setting by forming very small air bubbles in the wet mixture, increasing fluidity without causing segregation. TPI EXPAND C It reduces water separation in the mixture. It prevents premature setting and allows for a reduction in the amount of water used.
APPLICATION TPI EXPAND C
The product is used for the following applications: l Production of fluid mortars (viscous or sprayable), filling mortars, and soil and rock anchors.
- The mortar produced does not shrink even when sand is added to the liquid mortar mixture.
- Grout for ultrasonic testing tubes in bored piles.
ADVANTAGE TPI EXPAND C
- The ultimate expansion capacity can reach up to 10% if the mixture is designed correctly.
- Improved fluidity and extended work life. High compressive strength can be achieved even when high expansion is required.
- Protect prestressed cables against corrosion.
- Increased binding (viscous properties).
- Volume expansion in wet condition. Provides protection against corrosion of rock anchor bolts.
- It seals all voids with a dense and durable seal.
- Non-toxic and non-flammable.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Mixing sequence:
Sound TPI EXPAND C Add water first, then gradually add cement while mixing. If using sand, it must be added after the cement. Mixing time must be sufficient to create a homogeneous mixture.
Product installation:
- Depending on the grouting process, the liquid grout should be applied as soon as possible after mixing to achieve the best expansion results.
- Standard grouting or pumping equipment should be used to ensure a continuous flow of grout.
Toilet:
- Clean equipment and tools after each use by rinsing them with clean water.
Notes on construction:
- To achieve optimal workability and expansion properties, the water/cement ratio, sand/cement ratio, and dosage are crucial. TPI EXPAND C This must be determined through mix design testing.
- Dosage of the product It is determined by the final expansion ratio and the desired consistency.
Typical mix design:
| Cement-based mortar mix for: | |
| No sand
Water / Cement (W/C): 0.30 – 0.38 |
Dosage of TPI EXPAND C:
0.4 – 1.0% (*) |
| Sandy
Sand/Cement: 1/1 Water / Cement (W/C): 0.30 – 0.38 |
Dosage of TPI EXPAND C:
1.0 – 1.2% (*) |
| Cement-based mixture for filling: | |
| No sand
Water / Cement (W/C): 0.40 – 0.45 |
Dosage of TPI EXPAND C: 1.0 – 1.5% |
(*) It can be used in conjunction with superplasticizer additives to achieve better flow and water reduction properties.
- Cement with high aluminum oxide content is not suitable for use with TPI EXPAND C .
