TPI Hard S
Concrete hardener and curing agent (Sodium Silicate base)
TPI HARD S APPLICATION
TPI Hard S It is a clear, one-component, silicate-based liquid used for curing, hardening, and coating fresh or hardened concrete.
Applications that use TPI Hard S
- Horizontal concrete surfaces, old or new, where a hard surface with light to moderate abrasion resistance is required, such as warehouses, industrial plants, shopping centers, and parking areas. Suitable for indoor or outdoor application.
ADVANTAGE
- Easy to use, highly cost-effective, and ready to use immediately.
- Increased abrasion resistance and chemical resistance compared to untreated concrete.
- Reduce dust on concrete floors.
- Easy to clean, does not yellow over time.
- Highly permeable, solvent-free, colorless, and odorless.

PRODUCT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Substrate quality:
Ready-mix concrete
The concrete surface must be free from water separation and strong enough to withstand finishing work.
Old/hardened concrete
- The concrete surface must be firm, rough, clean, free of cement dust, standing water, oil, grease, paint layers, loose materials, and other contaminants.
- To ensure safety, it's advisable to conduct a test run in a small area first.
- For optimal results, the concrete floor must be treated with TPI Hard S At least 7-14 days after pouring the concrete and after the cement has had enough time to hydrate.
Surface preparation
Ready-mix concrete:
The concrete surface must be prepared using appropriate methods such as power trowels, electric or manual compactors.
Old/hardened concrete:
- Concrete surfaces must be prepared using appropriate mechanical methods such as cleaning equipment: high-pressure compressed air blowers, sandblasters.
- Clean dust, dirt, loose materials, and debris from the surface before applying the product; a brush or vacuum cleaner is recommended.
Construction method/tools:
- Use a high-volume, low-pressure spray gun to apply a continuous coat.
- To ensure maximum penetration, scrub the material onto the floor with a soft-bristle brush or floor scrubber (for at least 30 minutes), until the material begins to thicken and become slippery.
- Lightly wet the material with a spray bottle and rub it onto the floor for 10-20 minutes. After this, rinse the floor and use a serrated scraper, wet vacuum cleaner, or mop to remove any remaining excess material.
- For porous, rough, or brush-finished surfaces, a second coat may be required.
Usage Notes/Limitations
- TPI Hard S Designed for immediate use, therefore do not mix with other products.
- At low temperatures (> 10ºC), the product may thicken and become difficult to spray.
- Ensure that the spraying equipment is clean before use and that the application surface is free of any prior curing films.
- TPI Hard S It will increase abrasion resistance compared to 25 MPa concrete, but over time it will degrade and be lost due to exposure to traffic and environmental conditions.
- If the spray paint spills onto glass, aluminum, or other highly polished surfaces, rinse immediately with water to prevent staining.
- In hot climates (above 25ºC), thickening may occur before the material has fully penetrated the concrete floor. In such cases, additional application may be necessary. TPI Hard S To keep the surface wet for 30 minutes.
- During application, ensure the entire floor surface is evenly coated to achieve uniform penetration. Repair any areas that need attention.
- For both old and new concrete floors, wash and remove all excess material remaining from the hardening process. This residue solution is non-toxic and can be discharged down the drain.
- The improvement in subfloor quality will vary greatly depending on the age, cement content, moisture content, porosity, and permeability of the product into the concrete floor.
- TPI Hard S It will not be effective for poor-quality substrates with low cement content. Do not use for lightweight concrete substrates, highly porous substrates, or substrates with degraded surfaces (inert aggregate on the surface).
- TPI Hard S Do not cover up severe spots or areas of excessive corrosion.
HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Ecology:
Do not dispose of into water sources or soil.
Transport:
Not dangerous.
Dispose of waste:
According to local regulations.
Important note:
TPI Hard S May cause allergic reactions. Appropriate precautions should be taken to minimize skin contact. If the product splashes into the eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention immediately.
