INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Surface preparation
- The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and grease before waterproofing.
- Repair any cracks or defects on the concrete or cement surface before applying waterproofing.
Applying the primer layer
- Add approximately 20-50% of clean water (by weight) to TPI Q-Proof Bitumen and mix well. Apply the primer coat to the surface using a brush, roller, or spray gun. The recommended application rate is 0.2 – 0.3 kg/m2. Allow this primer layer to dry completely before applying subsequent layers.
- In the case of porous and highly permeable substrates, the surface must be moistened before application. Avoid standing water.
Product manufacturing
- Construction TPI Q-Proof Bitumen Apply to a clean, primed surface using a brush, roller, or spray gun. When spraying onto exterior walls below ground level, ensure the surface is covered with a thick, even layer and free of air bubbles.
- For waterproofing, 2-3 layers should be applied.
- Wait for each layer to dry completely before applying the next.
Notes on construction
All right-angled edges must have mortar applied to the corners to create a slope of at least 25x25mm before construction. All edges, protrusions, and depressions must be treated before construction. TPI Q-Proof Bitumen Extend 50-100mm along both edges of the part. These treated areas need to dry overnight before applying the membrane.
- In key or necessary areas, TPI Q-Proof Bitumen It can be reinforced by using a suitable fiberglass mesh.
- Do TPI Q-Proof Bitumen Exposed surfaces are not resistant to ultraviolet radiation over long periods. (For flat roofs) a protective plaster layer of 15-20mm thick must be applied immediately after construction. This plaster layer should be mixed with additional mortar. TPI Latex proportionally 5 liters TPI Latex for 1 cubic meter of cement mortar.
Toilet
- Clean the equipment and tools before use. TPI Q-Proof Bitumen Once dry, rinse with clean water.
- After TPI Q-Proof Bitumen Once it has hardened, it can only be cleaned by mechanical means.
