Solvent-based two-component epoxy floor coating
DESCRIPTION OF TPI SB140
TPI SB 140 This is a two-component, solvent-based epoxy resin-based paint product with color. After application and complete curing, the product creates a smooth, hard coating that resists common chemicals, abrasion, and water penetration.
TPI SB140 APPLICATION
TPI SB 140 Used as a coating for concrete and screed floors subjected to low to high loads, such as:
- Flooring for warehouses, halls, workshops, repair and maintenance areas, garages, ramps, etc.
- Coating for sandblasting systems to create a rough surface.
- Suitable for applications in water tanks, food processing plants, wastewater treatment environments, etc.
Advantages of TPI SB140
- Easy to install.
- Fast usage time
- It prevents liquids from penetrating through.
- High resistance to chemical corrosion, impact, and abrasion.
- The surface has a glossy finish.
- Easy to clean surface.

TPI SB140 User Manual
Surface preparation:
- The concrete surface must be solid and have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm² and a minimum adhesion strength of 1.5 N/mm².
- The surface must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, old coatings, and surface maintenance compounds.
- Weak concrete and dirt must be removed. Surface defects such as pits, voids, cracks, and bumps must be treated and smoothed.
Check for moisture levels and apply the primer:
- Check surface moisture, relative humidity, and dew point before application.
- If the surface moisture content is < 6%, use an epoxy primer. TPI Primer SB.
- If the surface moisture content is >= 6 %, use a moisture-resistant epoxy primer. TPI Primer MB.
Mixing sequence:
- TPI SB140 It is supplied in a two-component kit consisting of a base component A and a curing agent B.
- Before mixing, stir ingredient A thoroughly. Once all of ingredient B has been added to ingredient A, continue mixing for 5-20 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
- Do not mix for too long to reduce air entrainment.
- Use a low-speed stirrer (300-400 rpm) or other suitable mixing equipment.
Coating application:
- Class TPI SB 140 The first coat must be applied as a base coat using a sanding motion to ensure an even coating. The first coat must be allowed to dry for at least 8 hours at 20°C or 4 hours at 35°C. The maximum drying time for the top coat should be adhered to.
- Class TPI SB 140 The second layer must be constructed precisely as described above, perpendicular to the first layer.
- A short-bristled roller can be used for application.
Toilet:
- Clean equipment and tools immediately after use. Once the paint has hardened, it can only be removed by mechanical means.
- Toilet TPI SB 140 Spills must be cleaned up immediately using specialized brushes, mechanical methods, wet methods, scrubbing, vacuum cleaning techniques, appropriate detergents, and wax.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Construction is not permitted. TPI SB140 Up onto the surface where the moisture content increases.
- Do not replace the liner with another product.
- TPI SB140 Newly constructed buildings must be protected from moisture, condensation, and water for a minimum of 24 hours.
- The primer will help prevent surface blistering during application.
