DESCRIBE

TPI Crystal 1K It is an improved one-component cement-based waterproofing mortar with selected aggregates and active chemical components. The mortar will penetrate into the capillaries of the concrete to prevent water penetration into the structure.

APPLICATION

TPI Crystal 1K Used for the following applications:

• Basement floor slab before pouring fresh concrete.
• Interior/Exterior
• Underground parking garage floor, basement level
• Surface: concrete, mortar

ADVANTAGE

• It penetrates deeply and seals the capillary networks within the concrete.
• Used for both positive and negative waterproofing.
• The single-ingredient product only requires adding a small amount of clean water.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Surface preparation

• Concrete and mortar surfaces must be clean and free of grease, dirt, and other loose components.
• If the surface is too smooth or contaminated with foreign matter, sandblasting and acid cleaning are necessary before application.
• Treat visible cracks wider than 0.4mm, honeycomb voids 40mm deep and 25mm wide. Mix three parts. TPI Crystal 1K Add water by weight, in parts water, until the desired consistency of mortar is achieved.
• Construction must be carried out. TPI Crystal 1K on a moist surface to ensure maximum chemical penetration.
• Apply a layer of mortar. TPI Crystal 1K Apply the waterproof mortar mixture to the concrete surface before covering the area to be sealed, sealing the capillaries.
• Constructing a concrete base layer using mortar overlay. TPI Crystal 1K before construction begins.
• If the concrete surface is dry before application, it must be moistened again.

Mixing the product (For wet application method)

Mix the flour with the required amount of water until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

• Use a mixer with a speed of no more than 500 RPM. Mixing time: at least 3 minutes or until the mixture is homogeneous.
• Let the mixture rest for about 1-3 minutes.
• Do not add water during the mixing process.

Product installation (Wet construction method

• Apply the first coat using a brush, roller, or spray gun at a rate of 1 kg/m2.
• Allow sufficient time for the first layer to peel off while applying the second layer. Apply the second layer perpendicular to the first layer at a rate of 1 kg/m2.

Dry-sprinkler application method (passive waterproofing)

Sprinkle with flour  TPI Crystal 1K  Apply a trowel evenly to the concrete surface after pouring the fresh concrete until the concrete reaches its initial setting point at a rate of 3-3.5 kg/m2. Then, use a trowel to smooth the surface.

Dry-spray application method (active waterproofing)

Sprinkle with flour TPI Crystal 1K  Spread evenly over the concrete base before pouring the fresh concrete at a rate of 2 kg/m2.

Maintenance

• After the coating TPI Crystal 1K Once hardened, maintain the treated surface by lightly misting it with clean water three times a day for the first two to three days.
• In very hot weather conditions, the freezing process can take several days.
• In exposed areas subject to heavy rain or intense sunlight, the protective coating lasts for approximately 24 hours.

Rinse tools thoroughly with water immediately after use. Hardened mortar can only be removed by mechanical means.

Important note

• TPI Crystal 1K Not suitable for decorative construction work on top.
• TPI Crystal 1K It does not form an elastic membrane and can crack when displaced.
• The operating temperature range is from +5°C to +35°C.
• Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C.
• Mix in the correct amount of water as required.
• Avoid standing water or condensation on the surface before application. Protect the newly applied mortar from rain and frost for at least 24 hours after application.
• Avoid working in direct sunlight or strong winds.

Occupational safety and health: Appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and gloves, should be worn when using this product. It may cause allergic reactions upon contact with eyes, skin, or mucous membranes. Ecology: Do not dispose of into water sources or soil.

Transport: Not dangerous.

Important note

TPI Crystal 1K Because it has a cement base, it is alkaline. Care should be taken to minimize direct contact with skin. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and consult a doctor.
